Success Stories

We would like to share with you some of the positive success stories Clouds End have been proud to be a part of. We believe in people not problems.

On our initial site visit we found the residents property to be very hoarded and infested with cockroaches. There were a lot of issues with neighbours complaining, and the resident was extremely resistant to support due to bad experiences with a previous enforced clearance and blitz clean. The resident was in hospital and scared that he would not be allowed home.

We spoke with the resident in hospital and agreed what could and could not be discarded, we then slowly sorted through his items, storing them in the room more appropriately and created a clean, functioning home for him to return to. We also worked with pest control to eradicate the cockroaches. The resident was overwhelmed with the results and very happy to be back home.

This lovely resident had a vast collection of books, DVDs and paintings which he had collected over many years of hard work and travels. Unfortunately his ailing health meant that the daily cleaning and tidying tasks had got too much for him and the result was a jumbled mass of good and bad items that overwhelmed him.

We developed a close working relationship with this gentleman, over several months, painstakingly sifting through all his things to separate good from bad and returned his home to a functioning, warm environment for him to sit and enjoy all his ‘lost treasures’.

This resident worked long unsocial hours and had also inherited of lot of items from friends and relatives that he had no space for. As a result, he was sleeping, living and eating in a single room as the rest of the house had become a storage facility.

We worked with the resident to identify what items he wanted to keep and then helped him to take all unwanted, useable items in our van to a charity shop of his choice, freeing up his home to be used as it was originally intended. He was so happy with the new found space and delighted that the items had all gone to good use.
